Congrats Brock Spack

Burke's BIGGEST MISTAKE. If he had given Brock a nice raise and made him Hope's Asst. Head Coach and DC, you have to think things around here would be a little different today. Might even have been 50+ thousand in the seats today.

Spack will easily be a top contender for the Purdue job assuming ISU doesn't crash and burn the rest of the way. I just don't see Purdue hiring anyone else if Spack wants the gig. This would be a destination job for Spack.

Not sure why. It's not he moved on to bigger and better things or has had any coaching success since leaving WL.

I think he was a finalist for the award for one of the top assistants in the country last season.

OK...he's been a good assistant...although he left USD and isn't coaching anywhere this year as far as I know. But he hasn't gone on to bigger and better things. No one is beating down his door to be a head coach again, that's for sure.

Typically getting let go from Purdue doesn't springboard you forward in your coaching career but he's not nearly as bad as some here made him out to be and it doesn't change the fact that we have been far worse since he left.

Brock Spack has done great for himself since leaving Purdue. I wouldn't be surprised if Illinois State could beat Purdue right now. Maybe beat us handily.

Stash is in a pretty good springboard job at a quality MVC program. I wonder if he would take the Purdue gig right now; a better job might come knocking if he keeps turning out 10-win seasons.

They beat Northwestern, so Illinois State would dominate Purdue.

Brock bleeds black and gold. But for him to come back I think Burke might have to be completely gone.

Here's a question. Is there a possibility that Spack won't be considered by for the job next year for no other purpose than the new AD doesn't want to make outgoing Burke look stupid? Because, make no mistake about it, if we hired Spack, who seems to be absolutely deserving (could we even give Northwestern a tough game, let alone beat them, or Illinois State for that matter? I would say no.), it would be a huge confirmation that Burke absolutely F-up the football program with his decision to let Spack go.

Burke f-ing up the football program with his decisions over the past decade is already pretty much a universally held belief.

lol we don't really need any more confirmation. See the haze. In seriousness, there will not be any consideration given to Morgans legacy when it comes to future hiring.
