We took major steps this year. We were the most improved team in the Big Ten and outside of Octeus and maybe Hammons they'll all be back. If you view this year as a rebuilding year then it was a smashing success. We ended up losing at the last second and now we don't get a chance to get dominated by Kentucky but the important thing is the massive progress we made this year.
There is a legitimate chance that we are ranked by Christmas next year. We were still a flawed team this year and there are still question marks but that team we saw during the Big Ten season is what I expect to see all of next year.
Last night hurt but as we all knew once the seedings were announced we weren't setup for a nice run in the tournament. Hopefully it provides them more motivation to avoid the bad losses that torpedoed our seed.
