I wish him the best. And I hope Painter stays in touch…Must have not wanted to play in NCAA tournament?
5th in ACC and 21 wins isn't a bad place to start. It's not like he transferred to a podunk program.Must have not wanted to play in NCAA tournament?
Besides Braden has the best chance to make NBA from last years backcourt. Harris may if improves his shooting.Good school, wish him luck. He has NBA level athletic ability and body, I hope he can develop the missing ball handling and driving skills missing to make a leap to the next level, really even not Euro ready at the moment.
Best of luck Myles. Good choice on school imo, will get a bit more opportunity at Wake while still being a great education.
I think that says it allI go to several Wake games every year. They have a good coach and some really good players this year. They tied for 4th with SMU and UNC by record. They have a really good freshman Juke Harris - tall lanky swing forward. And a couple of really good guards - although I think the kid from the UK is graduating. Calvin could be the star.
agree, plus he joins the kid from Valpo in going there and it's a good school tooI think he will be a star. He will get a chance to grow as a player, ball handling will improve. He is an elite athlete and good to great defensively
LOL. Silly autocorrect. I edited. I think Colvin will be great and has NBA potential especially if he gets better at handling the ball. I'm excited to see him play close by. Wake also has a kid from La Lumiere.I think that says it all
I know. but it gave me a great idea for a topic.LOL. Silly autocorrect. I edited. I think Colvin will be great and has NBA potential especially if he gets better at handling the ball. I'm excited to see him play close by. Wake also has a kid from La Lumiere.
I'm not sure I agree with Colvin's NBA potential. There's lots of good, athletic 6'5 guys who can shoot 30% from 3. Yes, he's a good defender, but that's not what gets guys to the NBA.LOL. Plus, given the state of ACC hoops, the opportunity is there for a retro-fitted Wake Forest to quickly rise to the upper tier of that league…I think that says it all
Does upper tier make the tourney tho?Plus, given the state of ACC hoops, the opportunity is there for a retro-fitted Wake Forest to quickly rise to the upper tier of that league…
4 teams made it this year, no reason to think they wouldn't get that number or more next year.Does upper tier make the tourney tho?
His defensive skills finally clicked the second half of the year, that's why he was playing down the stretch in important games. If he makes that leap again he's going to be a very good defender.JMHO, he is at best an average defender but that might not matter much in the NBA, definitely has to improve his 3 PT% shooting and passing in pressure situations. Maybe in one or two years more of college play he will!
If you aren't an unstoppable force on offense you better be able to play D if you want to stick in the league.JMHO, he is at best an average defender but that might not matter much in the NBA, definitely has to improve his 3 PT% shooting and passing in pressure situations.
