There were postings on other threads about bigger issues with Cline. Can anyone elaborate? As I stated earlier, doesn't feel like we miss him. That said, hope for the best for the kid.

What's your problem bro? Can't ask a simple question that get's your panties in a bunch?Go back to the beach. we don't need more crap stirrers.

I take issue with guys that are always digging for "bigger issues". His situation has been discussed in as much detail and conjecture past anyone on here knows. What good purpose does your post have if not to reopen the wound and dig deeper? Kid made a stupid decision. He's lucky to have a second chance and we've seen the legal postings. Time for us to let it go and hope he's learned from this. Is that enough explanation for you bud? What's your problem bro? Can't ask a simple question that get's your panties in a bunch?
If I am counting correctly, he should be back for the big Louisville game in the KFC YUM Center on 11/30. If our 3Pt shooting goes cold again in that one, we should know quickly if he's still in the doghouse or it's more "he's served his time, done his penance, and now it's time to work him back into the rotation".
On the other hand, if that game is close, and our current 8-man rotation is playing well, I also wouldn't be a bit surprised if he didn't see the floor at all if that game. In that case, I would caution anyone reading too much into the DNP-coach's decision. He'll get a chance to prove he still belongs in the rotation v. Morehead State a few days later.
Didn't realize the "controlled scrimmage" with WVU that does not even appear on Purdue's published schedule counted in his six game suspension, but makes sense now since Smotherman played v Villanova. Nevertheless, same situational analysis would apply to doghouse or not, except it would be v Auburn or Texas Tech.He will actually be back for the 2nd game in Cancun.

Thanks for the correction...I'll edit/correct the OP.
The only rules of which games apply in this case are Painters because this is a Purdue punishment, not Big Ten or NCAA. From his perspective I doubt he cares if we fans got to watch the scrimmage and watch them not participate or not. It was one of his opportunities to play a game and he lost it thus achieving part and f his punishment.I think the secret scrimmage counts because per rules we get a choice of an open exhibition (some rules on what conference / tier they are in) or scrimmage
Not trying to stir up any issues. If you look at my posts they are always positive. When I said we don't miss him its actually more a comment about the current rotation. I like the current rotation but if he shoots better than Mathias then I'm happy to swap him out. Kids make mistakes, I get that and hopefully he learned from his mistake and comes back hungry to win back a spot in the rotation.I take issue with guys that are always digging for "bigger issues". Understand. I suspect that when he starts playing well he would take some time from Dakota and some time from Carsen. Depending on situation and how the other two are performing at the moment. I am guessing he has parents who will make sure the value of a scholarship is clearly understood, not to mention all the other negatives that come with his actions. Thank God I never did anything wrong. Not trying to stir up any issues. If you look at my posts they are always positive. There were some post in the Epperson thread that were alluding to more than just pot being an issue. Clearly I took the bait....I think the 'bigger issues" reference made it seem like you were trying to stir something up because I read here regularly and have no idea what references to those "bigger issues" you're referring to from other threads.
So much so that you started a new thread with it.There were some post in the Epperson thread that were alluding to more than just pot being an issue. Clearly I took the bait....
