CE "boogiein" for two with the lefty lay-up. Cleveland State looking a little rattled, but it's early.
Carsen, at this point, is a better defender than I could have imagined as a freshman. His quick footwork and knowledge to go above screens is proving invaluable. Have already seen him shut down a rotation pass on the backside twice in the first 4 minutes. Unless there is an injury, Vince is going to have a hard time getting his starting position back.
CBoogie with the nice assist to Vince. Great court vision...going to be fun watching him continue to grow as a player.
Boilers are letting this get a little ragged.....some defensive lapses, too. Finish the half strong.

Need to tighten up the offense a bit the rest of the half. Little bit of a scoring lull but has continued to play solid defense. Cleveland has hit 2 or 3 wild shots.

Ok....pretty solid half....a couple of lapses/impatience on offense but some really good possessions, too. Taking a little better care of the ball as well. VE activity is a nice sign.

He is a player I have never worried about from day one, even when he was struggling. The kid has a basketball court in his basement!!!! So you knew he was serious LOL. I'll say it again, He will never leave the starting line up........his play has finally caught up to his IQ. Glad he is a Boiler.
This is how Painter wins at Purdue, recruits solid players that he develops over the years and reaps the benefits of experience and progression over talent, inexperience, and youth.
