Classless Maryland fans

Relax, it's all part of the home court advantage. We lost to Jaws and Fat Albert, which makes us what then? The two guys the students taunted basically dominated then iced the game.

I'm not a fan of taunting your opponent and then losing.

It's good you hate us, game means more now. I'm sure you enjoyed the game and outcome far more than playing Rutgers, PSU, Nebraska or some worthless team you don't care about.

You know, I noticed that too. Why are most Maryland students and grads shorter & smaller than other college kids? Weird I guess. Looking at their student section, I thought maybe they just had over-sized seats in the gym. Then I decided that was not it. The more I looked at the folks attending the game with UM colors, the more I thought they looked undersized, smaller, and shorter than normal. Is that anyone else's impression?

Not really. I don't chant things at athletes at my age. If I did, you are ugly doesn't hit my inappropriate meter.

I don't think Haas gave a crap.

I think it's pretty stupid. Being at the game, I thought the stuff about Swanigan being overweight was worse. It's one thing if it's an out of shape player, it's another when it was the situation Swanigan was in.

Again, I don't think it personally affected Swanigan, but Maryland fans have a reputation for a reason.

And one thing to add: Several Maryland fans went out of their way to complain about their students on their own boards. So it's not us being overly sensitive. They thought it was lame.

I think it is the "Little Man Syndrome". Haven't the rest of you noticed how small in stature most Maryland fans are? Most of the dudes are like 5'6" or smaller. It is really weird. In fact, I think it might be their hallmark.

What makes the difference if its racist, personal or whatever? Some things are flat out rude and shouldn't be said and others aren't. Do we need to put a label on what kind of remark it was as to whether its ok? Most intelligent people know the difference, but a few are always gonna run their mouths and make a school look bad
