Very nice to add Moore, but his addition gives Purdue twenty recruits rated at 3 stars. Since rivals calculates off the top 20 the addition of more could push Purdue to 38 (class is currently 42 as it usually takes a day or so to update class rankings).

I noticed the rivals site now includes Moore , but also still includes Craft and Lane. and lists Purdue at #41. 24/7 also includes Moore and jumped 8 slots from 49 to 41 with his addition.

It says our average star rating is 2.64. If it’s based on the top 20, why is it that low? Don’t think one recruit would make it jump from 2.64 to 3? I just did the math. The 2.64 is factoring in all 25 commitments. Isn’t that wrong?

They use the point total at the far right of the class rankings. USC recruits average over a four star but they are at 13 as they only have 14 recruits. For that number they use top 20

BTW Purdue appears to only move up one spot. I think my mistake was replacing Moores worth against a one of the unrated players versus one of the two stars

what should be pointed out was that the grad transfers don't get included. So Brohm's class last year was actually better than its rating. if this were basketball, you could say McCollum was a 4* one and done - an immediate impact player. . if Evans were included, he would have raised our average. He was a 4* two years ago when first recruited. the same could be said for the jucos we added last year.

what also is not being said is that many of the other schools have a lot of room left and there are many quality players left who did not sign. So they may pass us by.

I would suspect we end up about 45. and if you look at the other teams currently ranked in the 40's, we'll be in good company and standing with some other pretty good schools.

the key to our future success is to remain in the 40's or below. After having two very big classes, I suspect next year's class will be a smaller one and probably less than 20. to be a top 40 or less class next year, we will need to have quality players because we won't have quantity.

I really don't care where we get ranked by the "experts" in the final recruiting rankings. I like that Brohm got the people he wanted in this recruiting class that will work well in his system. These players wanted and are excited to be part of his team and to be at Purdue.

When did rivals drop his fourth star -- when he dropped Texas, when he dropped Ohio State's hat or when he picked us?

Funny how their ratings change when recruits pick Purdue. More iu interns at work?

Was never 4* on Rivals. Is 4* on 247 and ESPN
Kind of interesting that GBI writes an article about Purdue landing a “blue chip” player and he’s only ranked a 3 star by rivals and is only the 3rd ranked player in Purdue’s class. Sounds like GBI doesn’t trust the rivals ranking system.

I find it interesting that he was Gatorade Player of the Year for Kentucky and considered to be the best player in the state by most recruiting services. He will more than likely be Mr. Football for the state of KY. Those factors usually make a player a 4 star player on most recruiting services and a blue chip type of player.

We could have a Kentucky Mr. Football passing to a Kentucky Mr. Football!
