CJ Cox article

I learned a few things about him here. Including his parents' background it's a good read.
CJ is becoming a favorite of mine already.
With very little court time.
I just like what I see at both ends of the floor.
I see some (very early) signs of leadership and I think he can be another guy that can get his own shot.
Not a lot of 'freshman' mistakes.
I think he and Gicarri are going to be dynamic back court together.
With DJ protecting the rim and Raleigh banging low and Myles/Cam at 3 this could be a very good defensive team down the road.
As is they might be the X factors for next years team if they can clamp down guys going off and slow the big time scorers that Fletch and even Braden struggle with.
WE could be one of those teams with dominating backcourts that are the type of team we struggle with even now.

Yeah that’s crazy their background. Makes a lot of sense of who he is as a person/scholar and athlete

It should be noted this is the guy Painter signed with a scholarship and thought well enough of that he didn’t pursue using the portal.
Yes Harris was the last to sign, but this the guy who was the last player Psinter recruited. The story was Painter went to see a different player he was recruiting and cox outplayed the guy painter came to see. I’m not sure what happened to the player painter was actually recruiting. He went elsewhere.

There’s something about Cox’s game that reminds me of Etwaun Moore. I’m excited to see him grow in his career.

It’s astounding that a kid this good, playing that close to a major city, with that athletic pedigree, wasn’t even in the top 200.

Hard to say.
But OUR recruiting expert offered and got a commit. So that works for me. Lol
Nice to have a more reliable 4th scorer. Double figures in 5 of last 9. So not just big 3 anymore.

aside from his shooting and quiet confidence, I think it's the "silent assassin" angle they both seem to assume. Not much expression giving anything away. I like it.
