Both of Purdue’s 2024 basketball commitments advanced in their respective semi-state games this morning.
Kanon Catchings and Brownsburg defeated Jennings County 51-47 in New Castle. Catchings finished the game with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Brownsburg is set to play undefeated Ben Davis tonight for a trip to the IHSAA 4A State Championship Game.
Jack Benter and Brownstown Central also advanced to the semi-state finals with a win over Scecina. Benter scored 3 points in the first half but dropped 15 in the second to guide Brownstown to victory. He will play Linton with a trip to the state title game on the line.
