Well, we could have signed him but chose Dow instead! It will be worth noting and watching! I believe Dow was the better fit. Maybe less talented, but a better fit!
Now he’ll never get to experience the utter joy and extreme comfort of using the Michigan visitor locker room. His loss.Just saw a blurb that Colin Castleton committed to Michigan today
Lol!Now he’ll never get to experience the utter joy and extreme comfort of using the Michigan visitor locker room. His loss.
Dow has athleticism and he prides himself on playing hard and defending. He said i his interview he will be much better in 2 years bcuz he wants it and he will be more serviceable than castleton who to me is Matt harms 2.0Castleton still got a whole lot of room for improvement to.
Yes. Haarms, Wheeler, Taylor, and Ewing should all be better options than Swanigan and Haas against stretch 5's the next few years.Anyone not as worried about defending players like Castleton now that we have Wheeler. I feel like he is tall, long and athletic enough to defend those guys.
Michigan has a log jam many players like him on there roster we'll see if he even plays next year at all bcuz he rather thin and he will need to add weight to compete with more stronger athletic forwards I'll take Dow bcuz he has all the athletic tools and once he adds the offense to his game that kid will be a problem.Anyone not as worried about defending players like Castleton now that we have Wheeler. I feel like he is tall, long and athletic enough to defend those guys.
JT and MH also will be good at guarding mobile bigs.Anyone not as worried about defending players like Castleton now that we have Wheeler. I feel like he is tall, long and athletic enough to defend those guys.

If it was the other way around and we got Castleton and not Dow, you'd have bitched also. Please just go away. Find another board to complain on. Your posts have No Value!!!Really wanted that kid though my cousin said that dude can ball he seen him play a couple times.

That guy will be able to go from point to 4, on both sides of the ball, and Matt can really drive matchups with that.Agreed. I also think Nojel will give us more defensive versatility. He's a strong kid, which can negate slight height differences.
So it’s basically what your cousin thinks versus what Painter thinks. Is that the crux of your argument? Okay.I just know what my cousin said and what the tapes of him playing shows. My cousin said if he gains 20 to 30 pounds he is going to be a tough matchup
Painter was recruiting both players. The 1st to commit got the spot. Painter very much wanted Castleton. So it’s basically what your cousin thinks versus what Painter thinks. Is that the crux of your argument? Okay.
Then he very, very much wanted Dowuna. Let's not kid ourselves and think he wanted Castleton more.Painter was recruiting both players. The 1st to commit got the spot. Painter very much wanted Castleton.
I think he wanted them equally. If Castleton had committed first he would have been as happy as he is now. Then he very, very much wanted Dowuna. Let's not kid ourselves and think he wanted Castleton more.
Maybe. But I think there's a complicated ballet that occurs in recruiting and I doubt the coaches that do it well rarely play it wrong. I agree with you that Castleton looked liked a potential player but Painter refused to wait on him getting on campus and I think that means something.I think he wanted them equally. The fact that he offered him? You think if Castleton committed first he wouldn't have backed off Dow? Now before the board police show up, I think Painter is very happy with Dow. I just think he would have been just as happy with Castleton. What do you base that on?
If you are talking about me, I certainly did not expect Castleton to commit to Purdue. I thought he was signed, sealed, and delivered to Florida. Obviously that wasn't the case.Going to visit ED a few days before the other guys' planned visits seems like giving ED the right of first refusal. It seems to indicate Painter wanted him at least as much as the other guys if not more. It also seems some posters think it was a foregone conclusion that Castleton would have committed to Purdue, and I think that is a pretty big assumption to make.

But he clearly wanted Dow more, which is why he told him that if Castleton committed, the offer was gone. If he wanted Castleton more, the offer would have remained open after Dow committed.Painter was recruiting both players. The 1st to commit got the spot. Painter very much wanted Castleton.
