Natural scorer - tonight's game is huge for him and us
We have alot of fire power from the arc this year... especially if RC gets it going. Teams are going to have to pick their poison with us... either double down & let us bomb away like we did tonight, or guard the arc & let Haas & Biggie control the paint.
He and Eastern will be special together in the backcourt.
Carsen, Eastern, and Wheeler will make a very fun and extremely athletic backcourt to watch.
I think we all knew a game like this was coming for Carsen. The only question was when.
Now the next question is how consistent he can be in delivering big games the rest of the season. It won't be every game but the games he does bring it will make us very tough to beat but if he doesn't it is not a death sentence for this team either.

As of right now, Wheeler is more of a frontcourt guy but I agree with your sentiment.
Yes, some due to the improved play of the little guys and some due to the lack of depth to the big guys...
Going to be hard to take that from Miles Bridges since Bridges appears to be the focus of MSU's offense whereas Carsen is probably option 3 at best on a given night.
This is the type of play that this kid exhibited game in and game out in HS. He literally forced those who "rank" players to up his rank.....something hard to do as a senior, because changing minds is hard to do. Much respect to this kid. Much to learn still, but he is a competitor thru and thru.
With his quick trigger , I'm sure he will give me brief heartburn at times when he's not hitting shots

While he may not in every game, the kid is an impact player. The ONLY thing holding him back was a little confidence and the fear of sitting on the bench if he screwed up as a freshmen. I just know we will need him in the NCAAs The kind of guard I have been praying for - One who could take over in the NCAAs if he had to.
I think those 2 issues have now been exorcised ! I think he will play with a LOT more confidence now.
Haven't had a guard that can put the ball in the hoop like him since E'Twaun. If Carsen works hard during his time at Purdue the sky is the limit for him.
