Carsen gonna be special

We have alot of fire power from the arc this year... especially if RC gets it going. Teams are going to have to pick their poison with us... either double down & let us bomb away like we did tonight, or guard the arc & let Haas & Biggie control the paint.

We have 6 legit 3 point shooters now but 17-26 or whatever we were tonight isn't gonna happen too often. But when it does we are obviously not gonna lose with the duel option

I think we all knew a game like this was coming for Carsen. The only question was when.

Now the next question is how consistent he can be in delivering big games the rest of the season. It won't be every game but the games he does bring it will make us very tough to beat but if he doesn't it is not a death sentence for this team either.

Hee reminds me of Trey Burke alot. I think he will be olaying point guard sooner than many imagined due to his ability to create on offense.

This is the type of play that this kid exhibited game in and game out in HS. He literally forced those who "rank" players to up his rank.....something hard to do as a senior, because changing minds is hard to do. Much respect to this kid. Much to learn still, but he is a competitor thru and thru.

Wait, I thought Painter couldn't recruit quality guards? Listening to the negatwitts that is all they go on and on about even thought Carsen pretty much shuts them up.

With his quick trigger , I'm sure he will give me brief heartburn at times when he's not hitting shots

However, he appears more than capable (at this level like HS), to overcome bad shooting nights by creating/driving to the basket or turning up the defensive pressure

Nickname? - prize fighter
(One Announcer said that in an earlier game iirc, and like it)

.

While he may not in every game, the kid is an impact player. The ONLY thing holding him back was a little confidence and the fear of sitting on the bench if he screwed up as a freshmen. I just know we will need him in the NCAAs The kind of guard I have been praying for - One who could take over in the NCAAs if he had to.

I think those 2 issues have now been exorcised ! I think he will play with a LOT more confidence now.

I'm guessing a lot of those who rank players do so off of AAU performances. Since he played with the Fox kid it would be easy to overlook his individual talents.
