They should play 5 on 8 in practice and let Haas be the point guard every so often to give PJ and them a chance go to the post to get stronger.
I really liked that video. It's the most impressive that I've seen of him. He looks very shifty with the ball. He looks hard to guard because he can go right, left, or shoot, off the catch or off the dribble. Of course it's a highlight video, but he looked more like Glynn Watson to me with his side to side ball handling than PJ.From these highlights, nothing tells me he can't challenge PJ if he put in the work and has a high motor. I can't wait to see him on the floor with VE. Specifically move at 1:12 in the video
He is Yogi 2.0. He is every bit as quick and sees the floor better than most. You simply just don't do what he has in HS without being a cut above. I have seen his coach say many times that CE could easily score 50 each and every game, but that is not what they want him to do.he will be able to get his shot off, but unlike high school he cannot just let it fly. he was a star in high school and hopefully a good player in college
If his coach said that - it must be true.He is Yogi 2.0. He is every bit as quick and sees the floor better than most. You simply just don't do what he has in HS without being a cut above. not sure I get it...does he not have range, not have the ability to pull up in between and not have a quick release? Your response never gave me a clue to your thoughts? that is all that I could see in the videos, but I'm not used to understanding the finer points of basketball...help me understand what lolz means as wellLolz!
he may be as quick and see the floor, but none of that can be seen in the video I've watched. I agree that winning and being a main player in a huge state like Texas says something, but he hasn't made a shot in college. this is nto a cut on his game, nor praise for what I do not know...just a wait and see on things I can't begin to tellHe is Yogi 2.0. I am not comparing him to Yogi, but I see a player who uses his shot threat to setup his drive, very effectively. How it will translate to college, time will tell. That video supports the claim that his a shooting PG, not a penetrating one. The comparison to Yogi are so far off. Yogi does both.
I think the comparison to Yogi may have a little to do with his build. CE can drive the ball and in a few of the videos that I have seen finishing with a dunk. Granted a dunk would not seem very Yogi like. Anyway, who knows if he turns out to be a good D1 player. He is coming to Purdue so I have no choice but to be hopeful. That video supports the claim that his a shooting PG, not a penetrating one. The comparison to Yogi are so far off. Yogi does both.
Never kick a sleeping dog ...What is with all this Yogi talk? Yogi isn't the be-all/end all PG in the history of the B1G.
Yes, he is a GREAT player....a great PG...but we don't need great; we need a smart, fundamentally sound ball handler, who knows how to drive the lane and get other guys open.
Looking at past B1G PGs, we don't need someone to match the likes of Yogi, or Talor Batlle, Mateen Cleaves, Demetri McCamey, or Trey Burke. Give me a Lewis Jackson type, who is at least a threat to shoot the 3, and we'll win ball games. Give me a Lewis Jackson type that can finish with either hand, AND shoot 30-35% from three, and you've got enough to get this team to the Final Four.
Just my opinion.
I brought up Yogi because When I look at CE I see a lot of Yogi in him. CE can get his own shot. That's what we were missing this yearWhat is with all this Yogi talk? Yogi isn't the be-all/end all PG in the history of the B1G.

This thread has been a bit contentious, but had begun to go to sleep ...Maybe I'm a little slow tonight, since I'm a little sleep deprived; but I guess I don't get your meaning there???
