Carr down to Purdue and Georgia

Edwards' opinion doesn't change the fact that Carr's dream is the NFL.....not how much fun being a walk-on borderline rotation player in one's #2 sport might pan out......
While obviously football is his best sport and best shot to make money, wouldn’t you think that if he is choosing a school based on the opportunity to play hoops that he wouldn’t have a desire to get some run? I mean if he didn’t really care much about playing basketball and getting a chance at some playing time, then why have it as a reason for final schools?

All Carr did with his hoops ultimatum is narrow his list down to football schools who would JUST LET HIM BE ON THE BASKETBALL TEAM........my point was that once you have identified which schools are open to it, what the hell difference does it really make whether or not you're going to get 6 min/gm , or 4? And how much of a difference-maker in this situation is the BASKETBALL COACH'S level of charisma or B.S. ??

Calm down with the all caps. Just having conversation about possible scenarios. Hopefully he comes here

Carr might change his mind about playing basketball, after the first year. With all the work plus classes that a college athlete does, he might decide to concentrate on football

This seems to follow what Antonio Gates did when he signed with MSU with Saban/Izzo before winding up at Kent St.

It's pretty much the same as the 17 year olds who think they are going to play D1 ball and study engineering or pharmacy. It's a nice dream, but in the end you know 99% aren't going to be able to follow through due to the workload.

Creature of habit......a conversation and only a conversation.
The esteemed B. Neubert considers Carr a 99.9 % P.U. lean.
B. Neubert is not esteemed. I’m not sure he isn’t an IU plant sent to Purdue to ententially get predictions wrong. Guy has gotten soooo many basketball recruiting predictions wrong.

What are your thoughts on Doug griffiths?
