Official visits set for June at Purdue.....if CMP could land those two that would be a great start to the 2018 class.
I like Hunter as well...Official visits set for June at Purdue.....if CMP could land those two that would be a great start to the 2018 class.
Everyone will be there during the summer. Athletes stay on campus to workout all summer and take summer classes to lessen the load during the season.I read the comments from Carmody about visiting in June. Said he wants to have time to interact with the team but wonder who all is there in June?
yep...have a China trip coming up to prepare. I just hope the new comers are as personable as next years senior class. I expect them to be good kids ...to keep the culture in place...Everyone will be there during the summer. Gotcha. Just noticing a lot of the players posting is back at their homes right now. Guess I forgot they probably take some time to go home and relax before off-season starts.Everyone will be there during the summer. This is maymester. Athletes almost all go home for maymester unless they need that extra credit to stay on track. They're all back for summer session. It is crucial for their progress toward a degree.Gotcha. Just noticing a lot of the players posting is back at their homes right now. Hope you are right!Carmody appears to have a top 3 of Purdue, ND, and Michigan. I would say that we should be the favorite in that group. Signing Carmody before the fall would be a huge plus. Athletic kid that can easily guard 1-3. Plays hard and is already considered a good defender. One of my favorite targets in the '18 class and one that I would consider plan A. Dowuana would be a great get as well. I have him just behind Williams on my preference list, but they are two totally different types of players.
If you told me right now we could have Dowuana, Carmody, Embery, and Anderson I would take it immediately. Would miss out of a few of the bigger name targets, but that is an excellent well rounded class that would put Purdue is great position over the next four years. If they decided to get five players in the '18 class, I would say adding another big man would be a good move. I like the '19 class a lot, and if they sign Dale Davis' kid, that would alleviate the need of that extra big in the '18 class.
I am more optimistic about this class than last years. Last year Painter swung for the fences. This year I think he is targeting the right folks and has been on them for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me if we land 4 of the current targets, unlike last year when 3 of those names seemed to come out of nowhere at the last minute.
Prentiss Hubb, 6'2 SG of the '18 class commits to Notre Dame. Ranked 38 on 247 and the fifth best SG. Unlikely Carmody will pick ND now. I imagine it's between Purdue and Michigan now? I don't necessarily like winning battles by default, but Maybe Hubb signed with ND makes Carmody move a little faster to not lose out on another option. Same thing happened to Kyle Young last year. Carmody is an important recruit. An extremely efficient scorer and a good defender. Athletic and can guard multiple positions. If his shooting can improve to the level of our current shooters, he will be a heck of a player.
Haven't really heard much about Dowuana's recruitment. He seems to like us well enough and he is athletic. Would be great if they both signed in June. Would nice if some of the top targets signed early. Last year was painful. Would be nice to get rid of all that anxiety early.
still want HunterVery interesting. Any idea how many scholarships ND is projected to have open for 2018? I did a quick glance and it looks like they have 3 or 4 scholarship Sr's next year.
They would still probably take Carmody, but it looks like they will need depth at PG and in the the post with Farrell, Colson, and Geben needing replaced.
