Cancun Challenge game times announced

It's only two games, so I would hope they would be able to accomplish that. Assuming they play well enough to beat Utah State, would you guys rather see them play Auburn (w/Ronnie "too much sauce" Johnson) or potentially the better overall team next season in Texas Tech?

Give me the best team possible. Unlike some on here, I couldn't care less about RJ.

That's a rhetorical question I'm assuming......although the Auburn fans can be "difficult" when taunted and backed in a corner......

I took that entire week off just because it's a short week leading up to Thanksgiving but it appears all of our games there will be in the evening anyway. I guess that will allow me to concentrate on other basketball during the day. That whole week is such a great week for college basketball.

No, it's a conventional question.

Then I'll go for Auburn as the next game opponent.....others might think differently. With the slate of teams, I don't imagine it will significantly impact the metrics for the tournament, but you never know. Purdue would just need to worry about whichever opponent is in front of them this year, and take none of them lightly.

Neither would be classified as a "resume win" but Texas Tech will probably be the better of the two.

Call me whatever you would like but I wouldn't mind playing Auburn :D. I agree with Tex on the idea that neither team will significantly help the resume. Just can't lose.

I'll take a slightly different approach. Do we want to beat a team with a Bobby Knight disciple coach (TT's Chris Beard was an assistant there under Knight), or an admitted cheater (Auburn's Bruce Pearl) as it's coach?

I'd like to beat Bruce Pearl again. Maybe we can watch Carsen do his version of the Chris Kramer swim move used to beat Pearl (then with TN) in another Caribbean holiday tourney (73-72 in the 2009 Paradise Jam). That was a great game to watch!

Or you could go with the revenge-on-Chris-Beard motive (UALR) and choose Texas Tech.
