Canada

We get 70% of our building lumber from Canada. We get approximately 70% of our dry wall materials from Mexico. And the auto industry will be squished from both our fading northern ally and our fading southern ally.

Putin wins. His bought and paid for idiot stooge was misinformationed into the ultimate position of authority. And now Western economies take a massive hit because Putin got his guy in the perfect chair. just wait, Trump is going to hand Ukraine over to his friend Vlad and the tough talk on China will magically fade away.

So a likely and easy prediction? This goes incredibly badly, Canada and Mexico offer him some theater/bull concession along the lines of “we’ll try hard to be mean to drug dealers,” Trump tries to claim victory, and it goes back to some sanity. Oh, and the Trump-cult idiots fall for it or blame DEI for hyper expensive cars and houses.

Nice deflection and predictable.
It isn't a deflection. The problem here is that you lack the intellect to understand that Trump is using tariffs against Mexico to pressure them to stop the swarms of illegal immigrants. Here, read it for yourself:
  • President Trump is taking bold action to hold Mexico, Canada, and China accountable to their promises of halting illegal immigration and stopping poisonous fentanyl and other drugs from flowing into our country.

lol. Trump doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground and him saying that most certainly doesn’t make it remotely logical or true.

Some of the freed hostages in Gaza were thanking him.

Millions of Americans, including me, are thanking him for working to close the southern border, remove criminal illegal migrants, and search for 300,000+ migrant children who are unaccounted for.

What do you think of those policies?

So who is deflecting now? Your childish response does not address the issue:

Hey Donnie—is that you?
Quoting the dumbass and not believing reality is no way to survive a trade war.

Meanwhile, Canadian sports stadiums are booing the Star Spangled Banner. Because all those illegal Canadian immigrants are crossing the Southern border, right?

So you do not support the Trump policies I listed?

Those are goals, not policies.

But here’s a Trump policy you listed that I completely support—arresting and immediately deporting any illegal immigrant with a criminal record. Well done and long overdue.

How in the world a 25% tariff on Canadian goods helps with immigration I have no idea. Do you?

I’m also not aware of how pardoning criminals who pled guilty to assaulting law enforcement helps with any American values or the rule of law. Do you?

I think we should just annex them. I mean Russia gets to take Ukraine, why can’t we just take Canada? And Greenland of course. Go Trump! MAGA!!!!

So you yourself prove that your statement that "Trump does not know his ass from a hole in the ground " was childishly foolish since you applaud a major 'long overdue' policy.

The WH says "A recent study recognized Canada’s heightened domestic production of fentanyl, and its growing footprint within international narcotics distribution." I don't know if that is true, but if so, Canada needs to do something about it quickly.

I did not favor pardons for those who assaulted police officers. Possibly it is in the same spirit as Lincoln's pardoning of dozens of Confederate soldiers. Or possibly Trump feels that none of them received fair trials because the feds covered up information - such as the extent of FBI involvement in Jan 6 and the coverup of Pelosi's admitted failure to secure the security that Trump offered. I am hopeful Trump will be able to release the covered up info on Jan 6 if it has not been destroyed. Aren't you?

Perhaps we should take the billions of $ DOGE is saving with the DEI programs cancellations and send it to Ukraine to be wasted?

Are you referring to all the pardons or lack of prosecution during the BLM riots when they were burning police stations?

ICE Barbie was just on tv saying that when prices go way up it won’t be Trump’s fault, it will be Canada’s.

You just can’t make this shit up.

If he's securing the border why would you need Mexico or Canada to do anything? It's so quick and easy. Just send troops to the border and stop the illegals and the drugs.

So the USMCA, the greatest trade agreement the world has ever seen, now means nothing. Good luck extending it next year.

Stopping them at the border is very difficult and very expensive. Canada, and especially Mexico, need to stop the illegals and the druggies from getting to the border.

With both NAFTA and USMCA, Canada has played the US for suckers for decades. They freely sell goods to the US but when they buy goods and supplies, they favor Canadian companies and ignore US providers. I have personal experience with this. I worked for a defense contractor in metro Detroit. I tried to do business with the Canadian military but was told "We are happy with our Canadian suppliers." When I told them that this violated NAFTA, they called me back a couple of days later and said "OK, you can bid on the contract, but just because you're the low bidder doesn't mean that you'll be awarded the contract."
