Caleb Swanigan Award?

I was thinking of ways to honor Swanigan after he leaves this year. Given that he seems likely to earn AA honors, I think he'll get his number up in the rafters in the next few years.

But I thought another way might be to create a Caleb Swanigan award to be handed out at the postseason awards banquet each year. Since Caleb's dedication to his workouts seems legendary, it should go to the player who busts his ass in the gym the most each year to improve. Call it the Caleb Swanigan Work Ethic Award.

Just seems like that would be an appropriate way to honor him although I'm not sure that another such award doesn't already exist.

I like your idea. I think the most similar award already given by the team is the Ray Eddy award. From the media guide:

Ray Eddy "Mr. Hustle Award" - Awarded annually to the player who displays the greatest amount of determination, drive and leadership.

I think the differentiation is there for the Swanigan Award if it focuses specifically on a dedication to the type of off-the court & after-practice improvement he's known for: work in the gym, film study, weight training, etc.

Yea it sounds like there could be room for both. I hope they consider it.
