Bye Bye Iowa.....

I for one am not happy about that result.

Seems the team probably doesn't care at all as winning is all we can control.

I however have seen this movie before and I hope the ending has changed.

Hope we didn't waste too much Athletic Dept money on goggles for tomorrow's game. No more PokeEyes for us!!!

The double bye should be an eye opener seeing these upsets. I also like taking on any team playing there 3rd game in 3 days.

Yep, I was just watching Newbill against us last time and he went to the basket over and over easily. We will be much better on him this time, I would bet.

While Newbill had a couple "dagger" shots at the end, he only had 7 points about midway through the second half.

Iowa played just very poorly offensively.

While it may be an advantage later in the game - you have to make sure it's a positive thing later in the game.

Penn State is on a run, while Purdue hasn't played a game since Saturday. The United Center is a cavernous arena and Penn State has had a lot of time to play in there and get used to it.

So while there may be some energy advantages, it doesn't matter if Purdue comes out lethargic. And Penn State will be tired in the second half, so if we're down then, they can just be riding adrenaline.

Purdue needs to have a good start to this game if they want to vein a good position in the 2nd half. Cannot let Penn State get momentum.
