I took a look at Jerry Palm's bubble watch on the CBS website and put together my own metric of all the teams he mentioned. See link for the list of teams. He breaks them down into three categories (In for now, On the fence, and Work to do). Anyways, each team is given a summary and RPI breakdown.

He segments each team's W-L records into 5 categories (0-25 RPI, 26-50,51-100,101-199,200+)

I decided to put together a bubble score for each team listed using the following critera:

5 pts for 0-25 win, 4 pts for 26-50 win, etc...
-5pts for 200+ loss, -4 pts for 101-199 los, etc..

I did not take into account home, away, or neutral wins/losses. So that is not part of this metric. I think the commitee probably values away wins differently than home wins, but I didn't fee like looking at 20 schedules.

Here is the bubble score ranking

Texas - 33
San Diego State - 26
Colorado State - 26
Xavier - 24
Dayton - 24
Temple - 24
LSU - 23
Michigan State - 22
Texas A&M - 22
Oregon - 19
Cincy - 18
Miami - 18
Illinois - 18
UCLA - 18
Ole Miss - 18
Purdue - 18
Iowa - 16
NC State - 16
Georgia - 16
Tulsa - 16
Davidson - 15
Pitt - 14
Stanford - 13
Seton Hall - 12
Boise State - 10

These teams are fighting for the last 18 at- large spots.

This isn't perfect, and I could have messed up the calculations on some teams. But it's interesting to see how far ahead Texas is from the rest of the group. Also, I think a lot of the Iowa and NC State love is from road wins.
