Bryson Scott - (Another transfer making headlines while not at Purdue)

Yes, they did not develop here and the reason was obvious to all intelligent fans

RJ's dad whispered poison in his ears, and that poison spread in the locker room. We likely would not have lost BS without RJ infecting the team with his nonsense

RJ did not develop here, and he did not develop in Houston and I will bet you he will not develop in Auburn either. Rather than blame three different coaches, I blame the player and the negative influences he received from his family

At the end of the day, PJ will have a better college career than RJ and BS, and that's all that matters. I have long moved past RJ and BS, and look forward to the next two years, and our future backcourt pairing of Eastern-Carsen who are much more talented and coachable than those two whom we have lost.

I disagree with part of this. Don't know about the RJ dad and whispering, etc, but Simpson was developing and playing like the star he was when recruited. Add to that Sterling Carter had taken over as PG and his injury killed the development of a team that was on the verge of making the NCAA tournament. Agee that PJ is better for us.

What is it about Purdue constantly losing key players year after year after year after year? How do you let Bryson transfer to IPFW if you are Painter. He single handedly buried #3 ranked IU tonight. Imagine if we had a lock down defender like that on Purdue this year. It takes me back to Scott Martin as well when he played with the fab 4 at Purdue. Had he not transferred Purdue perhaps may of won a national title after injuries that plagued the season. Maybe the coaching staff needs to work a little bit harder to keep its players on the campus. Just incredible we let a guy like that go. I don't get it.
Had Scott wanted to be at Purdue, he'd have done the work to be here. Case closed.

This is a little strong in favor of CMP forcing him out, which I don't believe is the case. I believe CMP was working with him to improve playing the positions he had for his roll and he was not fully up to speed. I believe his decision to leave was his own based on his individual progress and projected playing time in those rolls. His work ethic may have not been at issue with CMP. But I believe his progress was.

Scott was always a fiery, stubborn kid. It was his best asset -- and his worst. It made him a nightmare for opponents to deal with, and sometimes his own coach. If he can consistently channel it to involve his team, he can be very, very good.

There is no doubt that RJ and BS are more talented basketball players than PJT. Sometimes slow and steady and efficient turns out to be better than someone more talented, but I think you are wrong if you can't don't think that RJ and BS have more raw talent than PJT. Like I said, for whatever reason, they didn't develop here, RJ never has period and BS is TBD. Yes, I stand by all of that.
I agree that they have more PHYSICAL talent than PJT. He is much more talented at the mental part of the game.

You could look at it that way or just be happy that Bryson followed his heart and helped IU to another devastating loss.
