I think one thing that gets overlooked...is how effective Octeus has been in breaking the press this year. He is a very difficult player to trap off the dribble...because he is constantly "shifting gears" while dribbling. He did have an abnormally high amount of turnovers yesterday...but I think 4 out of 5 came in the halfcourt.
Watching the rest of our players try to break the press is an absolute train wreck. We are taking one heckuva of a reckless risk....if we don't add another guard with basic pg skills in spring. Scott and PJ are two players without a position at college level. The hope is one of them can develop into a consistent backup pg next year....but sure appears that pg is going to severely limit the potential of next years team...unless a starter can be added in the spring.
