Brady Allen gone

Maybe Brady knows something us Purdue fans don’t know?!? Nothings new for kids to run away from a little competition these days, not saying that’s what Brady is doing but it kinda feels that way after tweeting some good feelings the other week. The transfer portal is a two way door and I’m interested to see who comes to Purdue

Look at how much the QB ran at USC and WV under Harrell. Slovis and Daniels both had negative rushing yardage. His QBs didn't run the ball at either location, which is what the OP was suggesting by saying Allen may not want to run...

I understand what RPO means...

RPO usually does not involve the QB running the ball. It's more about the QB deciding after reading the defense whether to hand the ball off to the RB or play-action and throw it.

Unless you're Josh Allen. When you have every option imaginable for you.
The QB doesn't have to actually run the ball to run an RPO offense. Tanner Morgan crushed our defense in 2019 with the RPO but he hardly ever ran. He just read the defense post snap and either gave to the RB or play-actioned the slant or post.

I think people are confusing RPO and Read Option.

In RPO the QB does not have to run. The decision is to give to the back or keep to pass

In Read Option the QB does run. The decision is to give to the back or keep to run.
