Already looking worn down. Hard to trust Jones or Morton to handle the ball for any meaningful length of time though.

I think you have to trust a combination of Jones, Morton, and Loyer to carry the load while he rests. Purdue needs the best version of Smith late in games.

Remember Harris and Cox will be freshman next year , Painter will not play them a lot . Only did with Smith and Loyer is because he had no choice.

He had two upper class men guards that transferred, once they saw the writing on the wall. I think CMP had his mind made up early, and that may have contributed to his no choice.

I tried saying this a year ago and it didn't catch any traction. Perhaps it shouldn't? Could some of the portal players have been discourage of Purdue having Braden and went elsewhere? Could Matt have been high on Braden and let the possible Portal players know ?
