He has 758 career. He had 313 this year. If he has 319 next year, just six more, he will break Bobby Hurley’s NCAA record. If he just had another 313, he will be 2nd all time and 32 assists ahead of number 3, Chris Corchiani from NC State. He would also be 180 ahead of Cassius Winston, who currently holds the Big Ten mark.

In the time I’ve posted here (not a ton of basketball posts), you were a bad guy if you called some of the QBs from the middle of the 2010s “not a big ten level QB,” but people criticize this kid.

Especially if he gets a big guy down low, TKR on the wing, and 2 shooters from 3pt all to pass to instead of making His own offense.

My guess is that 40 games is the upper limit next year, unless the NCAA changes the scheduling rules (31 regular season; 3 B1GT; 6 NCAAT). There are scenarios in which Purdue could play more than 40 games (start B1G Tournament on Thursday, or get an NCAA first four game, or both), but none of those suggest a deep NCAA run.

Yeah I included 41 just for a possibility that we lose a tiebreaker and end up the 5-seed in the B1G. Unlikely but you never know.

Probably as unlikely as 32.

remind us all those missed bunnies at the rim by our 4s this year.. Could not finish two hand dunks, those were pretty insulting.. That would probably add 20 more assist to his total this year.
