Boo Buie

I’m not saying it happens often but can and will happen . Just once is enough if in the tournament. Recipe for disaster good guards and making 3s. And they are better in the guard court
Every team can get beat under that right circumstances. Purdue just doesn't have that many in comparison to most teams

Are you serious? I agree that their guards are very experienced and talented. They had a good game. But our guards matched them. Braden had twice as many assists and half the turnovers that Buie had. Jones and Loyer combined for 8-12 in threes. Jones scored 26 points, most by any guard in the game. Morton( with help from Zach) rendered Buie totally ineffective inside the arc. Matched, and possibly exceeded, their guard production.
Very good point. 2/3 of Purdue's starting guards are true sophomores vs. three seniors, including a super senior, for Northwestern.

I’m not talking about our out of this world center or what class our guards are. I’m just saying Northwestern has a better backcourt. And the reason is probably cause they are seniors and have been through the ringer

OK, that's fair. But the flip side is that against that superior back court, Purdue's inferior guards still put up 54 points (on 57% shooting) and 19 assists. And they won the game.

Yeah Carsen Edwards happens. Ryan Cline happens. It can happen to anyone and not just Purdue. Also, Purdue has beaten themselves the last 3 losses of the tourney. They didn’t lose because of facing good guards.
