180 lbs. 6'2". Lets' not let him get going. I see that weight and height and think surely he can be stopped. Go Boilers!

Purdue's D on some of those shots was textbook. Sometimes the O gets the shots to fall despite a hand in their face.

Purdue needs to play with a little more swagger / confidence. This game tonight should help as a grinding hard fought game builds character.

My son's and I were confused as to why Buie kept driving the ball with little to no success. Yet, hit greater than 70% from behind the 3pt line.

Hell, I think I saw him come down, close his eyes, yurn his back to the basket, and throw up a reverse granny shot for 3pt off the glass-' dude could not miss.

Yeah they shot crazy good and I thought our D played well. That is exactly what it will take to beat us but it doesn’t happen very often for a reason!

He should be pretty good in his 6th year.

Maybe if they make the tournament this season they'll do another BTN special on it because expectations for NW are so low that literally the smallest accomplishments and met with great fanfare.

On one of those threes I had flashbacks to Keisei Tominaga.

Purdue has had three games that I remember where the opposition was red hot and stayed red hot from three. They are now 1-2 in those games and 19-0 in all other games.

Beating the #1 team in the country usually pretty justified in being excited.

I'd take that bet
Sure thing. If he makes it and does well, good on him.

I watch alot of the NBA and just don't think his game will translate well, in addition to being undersized. He's not going to be able to run and gun to the paint for that floater in the NBA.

He’ll make good money playing hoops if he wants, I highly doubt it’s in the NBA.

If he was an NBA player he wouldn't be in his 6th year of college.....Unless NW has some sort of crazy good NIL money
I would agree. Ivey had flaws in his game, but he was still a top 5 pick. I have to believe he has had scouts watch his games and provide advice on what he needs to improve on. It’s obvious if he received good reviews, he would have left for the NBA earlier. He has proven he is a great college player. He will find a pro gig somewhere much like Mathias., Edwards, And the center from Gonzaga. Making $50-100,000 a year just playing basketball is not a bad job.

What about the phrase "Size isn't everything?"
lovely blond makes not about his size. ;) Gawd, can we take things and run with it in a forum!!!! just need a small opening and it is off to the races ;)

Northwestern has a better backcourt than Purdue, showed again tonight the recipe for disaster. Great guard play and make 3s
Are you serious? I agree that their guards are very experienced and talented. They had a good game. But our guards matched them. Braden had twice as many assists and half the turnovers that Buie had. Jones and Loyer combined for 8-12 in threes. Jones scored 26 points, most by any guard in the game. Morton( with help from Zach) rendered Buie totally ineffective inside the arc. Matched, and possibly exceeded, their guard production.

I’m not saying it happens often but can and will happen . Just once is enough if in the tournament. Recipe for disaster good guards and making 3s. And they are better in the guard court
