Boilers all alone in first place

Would love to win this thing outright!
Remember just a few weeks ago when Purdue was already out of the title race?

Remember when this year's team was considered as a step down from last year's team?

Remember when Swanigan was questionable in the NBA draft, or possibly not the best player in the Big Ten?

Keep faith fellow Boilermakers!
Don't let the negative keyboard coach fans get you down.

How SWEET it is!

Win the next two and outright becomes a reality and the NW game is essentially irrelevant in theory.

A loss I don't think would even impact our seeding as CMP could play a different lineup to rest the starters for the BTT.

He could but I would be shocked if he were ever to rest starters. Just doesn't seem his style.

I'd let the starters rest. Get the subs some badly needed time for the tourney run. Maybe play them five minutes and then avoid taking a risk of injury.

Yea I can understand trying to avoid injury but if we're relying on Grady Eifert and Tommy Luce in the postseason we're in trouble even if they play 20 minutes against Northwestern.

This is assuming Wisconsin loses to either MSU or Iowa. Otherwise we go into the Northwestern game with a shared title still a possibility.

Right. Which I think MSU wins over UW... Both teams are down and as much as I don't like MSU, I don't see UW winning.

But then again, there is a reason I am posting on a forum and not doing it professionally

I agree. The way Wisconsin is playing I expect MSU to beat them.

Also in such a scenario we'd bet getting the #1 seed and a double bye in the conference tournament which I don't think plays until Friday so we'd already be looking at 4 days off. If they took the Northwestern game off then there would be 9 days off between games. I'd be far more concerned about us falling out of rhythm by not playing than sustaining a major injury by playing.
