Blough should be starting. He is the future, the only reason applebee is starting is because if they don't win this year the coordinators get fired then next year it is hazel. The thought was applebee would not make rookie mistakes, that obviously was flawed. Go with Blough now!!!! HAZEL is not the answer you got to have some idea of x's and o's. Damn he may be a good leader but high school level of x's and o's knowledge and just not at the same level as anyone on the 97 tiller staff. Anyone that doesn't agree is an idiot. I have seen enough, and heard similar views from current players so don't argue.

Blough isn't the future. Sindelar is and he'd be the starter if he hadn't blown a knee to end his HS career.

Agree Sindelar is the future...but we should play Blough this year. This is a throw away year with Shoop calling plays

I'd be afraid that Shoop would ruin any talent Blough has. We get 4 wins or less and we are probably looking for an entirely new staff from top to bottom anyway. Well, we SHOULD be.

Sindlwar i
s talented probably more so than Blough but so is applebeee. Blough if you ask the players has the intangibles and respect and trust. This sounds like drew breed to me. The too short not strong enough arm guy.

Oh man I couldn't agree with you more right now if I tried. Put in Blough and right damn now. That should be a slogan on campus after this week. Students need to chant that loud as hell this week. Put in Blough and right damn now...right damn now....right damn now. Put in Blough and right damn now....right damn now...right damn now. Yah Purdue probably stomps Indiana State, but today was the real tester. Today was the real indicator not what happens against a lessor team. And Indiana State is exactly the type of game we can use to put in a rookie QB. We've seen exactly today what is going to happen when we play any team even halfway decent. Those reads today were worse than an average high school QB. If you are a junior and you haven't got the knowledge and come out like that on opening game then its just got to be time to switch. Most good college teams are recruiting a good QB young and letting him pan out. That is the formula for success. Not trying to force a backup QB skills to be the starter late in career. That isn't working. Insanity is trying to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

At least Blough can run, if the receivers can't get open, which has been a problem the last couple years

Receivers looked good today Austin couldn't hit them

Apple showed today the kind of inaccuracy that gets your entire squad killed in combat. I'm sorry but some of those passes could have been kicked to these receivers more accurately. It really was that bad. The average soccer player in D1 could have kicked better passes.

I mean those deep passes were worse off than a sliced drive at the golf course. And that one pass to the tight end was just awful. And that's a hard pass to miss. How you miss a pass like that as a D1 Qb is hard to explain.

Blough needs to be the QB. I'm willing to sacrifice this entire season to find the right QB. I say let the two younger guys battle it out for the job. Games like yesterday are the norm that Purdue fans have had to endure this game after game after game. Watching games squandered away. That's really what this was. It was watching the game just squandered.
