Yes, Blough may have a higher completion percentage and the same # of turnovers, but let's compare the level of competition. Here's a breakdown of total # of snaps per player vs the lever of competition based on pass defense ranking:

Player Snaps
Louisville (102 ranked pass defense)
Blough - 42 snaps
Sindelar - 36 snaps
Ohio (119 ranked pass defense)
Blough - 37 snaps
Sindelar - 28 snaps
Missouri (106 ranked pass defense)
Blough - 65 snaps
Sindelar - 12 snaps
Michigan (3rd ranked pass defense)
Blough - 23 snaps
Sindelar - 27 snaps
Minnesota (19th ranked pass defense)
Blough - 18 snaps
Sindelar - 47 snaps
Wisconsin (17th ranked pass defense)
Blough - 3 snaps
Sindelar - All but 3 snaps

It's pretty clear that Blough has a substantially larger amount of snaps vs team with a pass defense ranked above 100 whereas Sindelar has more snaps vs teams with a pass defense ranked lower than 20. I'm not saying that Sindelar is better but it's hard to compare who is better based solely on stats. Maybe Brohm should decide who starts based on the quality of the opposing team's pass defense. That said, Rutger's pass D is ranked 64 so which way do you go?
