Blough... buy or sell?

This might not be popular but I'm holding and maybe even buying right now. His TD-INT ratio is not that bad considering the team surrounding him and the ineptness of the Hazell era. I feel like he can make those sideline throws which is quite important to extend the field sideways and vertically. I can see him develop into a fairly useful QB by his senior year, if not earlier.

BUY! With a new scheme, a new coach, and a better line, he's going to be a very solid keep as a Senior.

I agree but a better line will have to consist of juco players because there isn't much behind King, Roos, and Cermin.

That's why I'd have hired Les by now and put him on the recruiting trail. Watching Blough, I think the kid's pretty good.....but you're right, he has to have a line that will hold blocks for at least three seconds, and preferably five.

Or work on his 0 and 1 step drops.

when in trouble he always circles to his left which leaves him with no options being a righty. i know he is rushed but he needs to make better decisions. 3 interceptions is way too many and how many balls thrown into the crowd because he was running to his left?

OL absolutely sucks. At this point doesn't matter who the QB is. No place to run, no time to pass.

10th in B1G with 49.3 QBR....Etling & Appleby both QBing at ranked schools after Blough "beat them out". Maybe it's the shitty line and receivers that catch like my 2-year-old?

Um. You think? Again, this team has dozens of problems. Blough isn't one of them. He will get better if we get him solid coaching, a stout line, and some skill at WR. All starts with who we hire this weekend.

Buy. I think Blough would be pretty effective with better protection and more receivers like Yancey. Improvement in the offensive line would also improve the running game as well. I guess, I am stating the obvious, but Blough has shown some flashes and with more time to throw and more targets, I think these flashes would turn into a consistent frequency. Besides, I don't think a new QB (likely a freshmen) comes in and beats him out. Not unless our recruiting goes off the charts as soon as the new coach arrives.

The dude's running for his life half the time and still makes impressive throws.

Buy buy buy. Made some bad throws in the Wisconsin game but damn, he also made some great ones.

Accuracy has gotten better.

He was running for his life that entire game and still made plays...and made them vs a legit top 5 D with no help from the run game.

Etling and Appleby are nothing compared to this guy. If Blough had the lines, run game and WRs that Florida and LSU do he'd have won whoever team he was playing for the game. Those 2 are surrounded by talent and still looked bad.

Those that think Blough isn't exceptional (for a Sophomore) don't understand football
