Agree. Rebounding is gonna bite us but there is no way you can replace Biggie and I think we are still learning to play without him.

That said, as bad as we feel about our two losses AZ has had it far ... far worse. Came in ranked #2 and likely won't be ranked next week at all.

this team will go as far as its shooting will allow. rebounding will be a problem all season but can be over come with good shooting. we know our team can light it up, it is just a matter of them doing it every game.

This. There is no reason to believe that this team can't adjust and improve their weaknesses. Painter knows what they are and should now have the team's attention.

All I could think of was Archie’s brother sitting there, with all those All Americans and not having a clue how to stop Painters offense, or solve Painters defense. I can only hope that Archie learned his coaching from the same source.

Someone asked when was the last time Purdue beat a ranked team this badly. According to Baird at the J&C:

"It was the Boilermakers' most lopsided win over a ranked opponent since beating Indiana by 24 in 2015."

Gotta disagree. This team won't finish 5th as there aren't 4 better teams in the big. I think we will be third, behind Minnesota and MSU.

Yea the B10 is weak so 3Rd is about as high as I see it too.... My point was CMP will have to do one heck of a coaching job to win this conference... 3rd to 5th... Still losers and not Champs.....CMP has his work cut out for him.

I think any coach who wins the BIG has done very well, this year or previous years. Not sure why you mix this pre-season tournament into the BIG championship discussion, and say "Still losers not Champs"? Seems an odd statement considering we are the champions of the BIG, and will be so until a new champion is crowned next year.

Not totally sold on Minny yet. They have only played alabama up to this point and they almost got beat playing 5 on 3 for a quarter of the game. Last year the same thing happened where Minny started off strong and faded out a bit as the conference season wore on. The schedule up to the start of conference but season is a joke.

Bilas also believes Rick Pitino and his "lie detector test". Zero credibility to me.

You are aware that every team in the BigTen14 has deficiencies....and the vast majority have more glaring deficiencies, right? You act as if Purdue's problems exist in a vacuum. Purdue will be right near the top contending for the 'ship. I agree it will take a tremendous effort for 1st place but 5th is ludicrous, short of losing key players.
