I think Coach Painter is actually lightening up a bit with the years. Also, there's some type of kids that do well with Painter. mature players? yes. immature ones? um so soWhat a Boilermaker. His teammates love him. I hope he is glad he came to Purdue. He wouldn't be appreciated any more anywhere else.
A few years ago, my perception was that Painter is somewhat of a crabby, disciplinarian type of coach which led to a lot of transfers. I am picking up more and more tidbits from player interviews and videos that he really isn't, and that he is more of a player's coach, when he has good kids and things are going decent. Seemed to be having fun there. Biggie spoke well of him in his postgame ESPN interview on the court. I wish I could watch practices!
I agree, as he gets older he lightens up. I know I have as a manager at work. When I was 30 in my first managerial role I was too uptight/intense.I think Coach Painter is actually lightening up a bit with the years. I spoke with Kelsey Barlow a couple years ago about what all went down. He had the upmost respect and incrediblely nice things to say about Painter. Calling him the best coach out there.

Yes. He loves Purdue. He took all the blame. Wishes he would have done things differently.Did he feel bad about how things went down?
