this would probably be his best shot and one, if he gets it, that would push him to the front of the NPOY list.

If Biggie is at 30 and 24...does CMP leave him in to get to 30/30?

There's no guarantee that this is going to be an easy game. Remember two seasons ago when last place Rutgers (finished 2-16 overall in their first season of B1G play) beat the Wisconsin team that went something like 16-2, 35-4 overall, and played in the national title game?

Biggie's best chance for a 30-30 game was probably against the McNeese and Norfolk State's of the college hoops world. He'll probably need to save that dream for the pros (longer games).

Rutgers has a 6-9, 610 and 6-11 guy....and are 4th in the country in total rebounds (partly because they can't hit the side of a barn when shooting). In any case it is not like they are a bad rebounding team. So likely harder for Biggie to get 30 R here.

I would say MSU @ home would be a better chance. When fouls happen MSU gets down to walk-on mighty midgets inside. I could see a 20/30 vs MSU.

I think he can get it against iu. they are beaten down dogs.

He's not getting a 30/30. At least not this year. That would have to come against a really bad team out of conference.

Purdue will roll.

This is his best shot. Outside of getting a lower level conference team in the first round of the tourney, this is the lowest ranked team we will face the rest of the year. Because of that, I suspect he wont get it. This is the one game where the team might "mail it in" and still win comfortably (though I hope they don't, that's how bad upsets happen).

I actually think it will need to come in a closer game. If the game gets out of hand, CMP is not going to keep him in for a 30/30

Forget 30/30. A 30 rebound game would be incredible if he scored 0 points. I don't think people understand how impossible that is though. His career high at this point is 22 which is amazing and still very well short of 30.

The last time anyone playing for a major conference team had 30 rebounds in a game was 1976. It simply doesn't happen in this era of college basketball.

Never doubt Biggie, doubt is all he needs to go out and post a 30/30
Unlikely-yes. Impossible? Hell no.

Worse? - Again....Rutgers is the 4th best rebounding team in the country. Obviously, they miss shots, but have shown they are tough to rebound against.
They play at a fast pace, shoot a poor percentage, and miss a lot of shots. Meanwhile, Purdue plays at a pretty fast pace and forces a lot of low percentage shots without fouling, but not many turnovers. I don't expect 30 rebounds, but if it were possible, this would be the game to do it.

i think even 25/25 would be noteworthy particularly in conference play. He had 28/22 against MN in overtime.

Kaminsky didn't play and Traevon Jackson got hurt and the game was at Rutgers. If Biggie sat and Dakota missed most of the game and they moved it to New Jersey, I'd be worried.

He'd also join "modern" (1970 and later) hall-of-famers like Artis Gilmore and Robert Parish. Even including non-power type D-1 schools, it's only been accomplished a dozen or so times in the modern era.

Still hoping Biggie can break JBC's single-season record (352) at home. He's at 320 right now, needing 33 for the record. If he had a big night tonight, he could get it in the second half possibly against Michigan State. How fitting would that be? And I guarantee you, a good part of the crowd would be keyed into that. Otherwise, he would do it on the road and most likely in front of one of the smaller crowds of the season in Happy Valley.

He most likely wouldn't play enough in that type of game. He would sit after the mercy flag went up. So you're right it won't happen unless we have a 3 overtime game against Michigan State or some other varmints where he only has 2 or 3 fouls. Izzo may get him really fired up.
