He's not the passing leader. He's the all purpose yardage leader, including rushing.

It wasn’t injury. Urban did the split time thing with cardale.

The number of games is a valid qualifier. Brees also played at a time when bowl stats weren’t included in career stats

I did look it up a few days ago. JT played in 50 games. Drew played in 45. JT did certainly have some games where he didn't play as much, but by the same point, Drew's entire freshman year was pretty limited too.
