Don't you think from a individual perspective that it helps Edwards and haas that biggie left? I'm not saying the team will be better but that it gives these two a chance to better showcase themselves in their senior season.
They now will have more of an opportunity to step up and show what they can do.

Of course they will be able to shine - however, you are still losing the BT10 PYO.

Yes it does. However the double teams that Biggie received will now go on Edwards. And the sagging zones will be around Haas. And teams will employ the hack-a-shaq philosophy and foul Haas every time he has the ball and dare Purdue to win by Haas taking 20 FTs per game.

The necessity is the mother of all inventions.
I am sure Purdue will evolve into another potent offensive team, with mean man-to-man defense with experience and infusion of young bloods.

Bet on it!

Boiler Up!!

The idea behind Hack-a-Shaq is that Shaq would typically shoot under under 50% on his throws. Haas has been at 71% back to back years. They might try Hack-a-Haarms. According to his Purdue bio, his old coach really raved about his mobility. Mobility at 7'3" 245 pounds

I'm excited to see if V. Edwards steps his game up. He has great potential. I'm expecting a solid year from him. Same with Haas. It's there team now so let the seniors shine.

Have Biggie would have helped Purdue be a top tier team, and that would showcase them more than anything else IMHO.

I have thought the same thing. Both Haas and Vince have been extremely efficient scorers over their careers. They will now have more opportunities, and as SRs both should have outstanding All Big Ten type years.

For Vince, it will be a continuation of what he already has been doing his whole career.

For Haas, he just needs to embrace that he is the man now. Would love to see him flat out dominate his SR year. He has improved every season, and I think we could see his confidence make a huge jump with his increased minutes next year.

not necessarily. Biggie got a lot of defensive attention. Now those guys will.

I think now it's V. Edwards team. Let's hope he continues his good play from the end of last season. He has a chance to be special.

Options 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D will be to try and stop/contain Vince, Isaac, Dakota and Carsen. Our starters will be threats.

I think it will be hard to contain all the options we have coming in because it's hard to speculate at the end of May how the rest of the new players will actually perform. Chances are coaches at this time are working on strengths of line-ups on court with offense and defense, working on the weakness of each individual player, and not concerned about how to play opposing teams during the season.

Before the season last year I spent a couple of minutes talking to Vince about being pressed dribble containment and such. He basically said since he has been at Purdue it has all been about team D and a lot of shell work
