Best Purdue uniforms

I'm probably in the minority but I like new anthracite unis with our black helmets.
As long as we can actually match-up our school colors with our uniforms (old gold and black), I'll be extremely happy. Not sure why we can't get uniforms that look like this:
That is essentially Old Gold...and when done properly it looks good. I think Burke stating we had to use what Nike gave us is a load of bull crap he fed everyone because he was too lazy. If Army can get specialized uniforms, so can Purdue.

Here is a Saints NIKE alternate jersy from last year. It would have looked absolutely perfect with an old gold helmet such as the Army one above.

Agreed....those uniforms have absolutely zero to do with the university with the exception of the 'cow catchers' on the shoulders. Horrible alternative uniforms.Anything but these!
Would anyone have an issue with a Purdue Pete logo on the uniform or helmet at some point? Has that ever been done?
I'm guessing those are throwback uniforms? I like that look, but I'm old school. When did Purdue originally wear those? Has a 60's look to me.
Wore them as a tribute to the first Rose Bowl team from 1968. They have a look of Georgia Tech to them...BUT if you could modernize them a bit, I think they would be unique and classy.
I like these unis with the Brees-era helmet stripes.
I like this uniform as a base for creating a new look. Maybe change the numbers to gold trim with white numbers and white pants while going with the white helmets and black socks with a retro gold/white band and white cleats.
Could also stick with that combo but use the black helmets (go to a glossy black) that featured a new logo like Pete's hammer in white and gold trim with the slanted P on the other side.

Same as last year. It is crazy, but with designs, this stuff is done like a year out. Now if we were a top 10 team there might be some wiggle room. That is why Hazell's first year he had to live with Hope's uniform, and Brohm's first year is Hazell stuff. Nike is also not falling over themselves to put a package together for a 3-9 team. Even if it looks cool we have no one to buy one.
Old gold helmets and pants need to be considered in any new scheme Brohm comes up with, imo....I like the all whites with white helmet and most of the all black, black-while-black combos with the black helmet. I miss the large Purdue across the chest of the Everett era and the stripes of this on the Brees era, but the throwback whites/old gold of the first Rose Bowl team were very sharp.
Even.a competent marketer could work a new scheme with our three main colors, old gold, white and black that look sharper than what we have other than the greys we rolled out last year! I guess I am saying most of last year's uniforms were not bad but they certainly could be spetted up!
Isn't the gold thing, I mean wouldn't that have to be a Bobinski deal? All the teams at Purdue use that Vegas gold. I would imagine we would have to change it across the board.
All our teams including our Band seems to do their own thing so YES Bobinski would have to and needs to set all the logo and pms color numbers standards for the black, gold and white colors Purdue uses with their athletic teams and the school and Athletic Department need to compromise and follow them! That is how you brand something nation and worldwide! Nike doesn't have to dictate colors anymore since modern technology just about handles every color! Ball is definitely in Purdue's court this time around.
I like both of the Greise Era jerseys. 2nd choice would be the UCLA looking throwback shown above.

Modernize the uniforms a bit with a larger stripe down the pant leg, gold outline on the lettering, and make the helmet the current one or one side with numbers and other side with P/Pete's hammer....I think that's a win.
These in an all black would look great: Black socks with the gold and white stripes, black pants with inner gold strip and white outline, black jersey with gold numbers/white outline, and the shoulder stripes remain gold in the middle with white on each side. Helmet could be a high glossy black with gold fading railroad tracks and slanted P on the sides.
