is #7 UNC (9-1) at #20 Tennessee (7-1), (3pmET, ESPN). I'd like to see the Vols get beat, but it would help the Boilers more if they win. They might even slide by the #17 Boilers, if they win. After today, all of the big guys are playing the Sisters-of-the-Poor until around the 28th.

Thanks for the heads up and reminder about this game, but Oh man, why would you ever want UNC to beat anybody? That is almost as bad as wanting IU to win. As you alluded to it would help Purdue more if Tennessee were to win. To that I totally agree - would almost make it that we have only one bad loss, the hangover loss to WKU.

Tennessee has a better record and a heads up victory on us. I would rank them ahead of us before today's game and for sure if they beat UNC today.

My prediction is that UNC beats them easily. They won't beat UNC the same way they beat us. UNC plays that same style and has better talent. They will have to play different style to beat UNC and I'm not sure they can do that at a high enough level to win today. If I were a betting man I'd take UNC -1.5 here.

Hmmm maybe they should be ranked even with us, but it would be a hard sell to put them ahead of us. We've played a much tougher schedule than they have, and the game that they beat us was in overtime on a neutral court.

I don't think they're the better team but until our record is better than theirs I think their heads up win should give them the nod. Winning and losing should matter and nothing else that has happened so far has been enough to offset them beating us in my opinion.

38-32 Volunteers @ the half; Tennessee has led most of the way (biggest lead was 9). Neither team has helped themselves with ball security....Tarheels have 12 turnovers, Tennessee with 9. Hard to say which way this game breaks; I expect UNC will make a run.

I will give the Vols credit, they are a scrappy bunch. No wonder we had trouble scoring on them.
