Best B1G QBs of all time?

Tommy Frazier is one of the 2 or 3 greatest QBs in CFB history. I dont think he belongs there because he didnt play in the big ten, but ignoring that, he outranks Brees.

As for Brady, he didnt have a stellar college career. Id also put Phipps ahead of Dawson.

Sorry, but I just disagree on Frazier. Nebraska plugged in Berringer, Frost, and Crouch and had very similar results, as they were just loaded from about 93-99.

Crouch's teams were paper tigers.

Those cornhusker teams during the back to back years were great because of Frazier. They decimated their opponents.

They were great because they were loaded with future NFL players. (And because of their "supplement" regimen, but that's another story)

They won those 3 titles with 3 different QBs starting at least 6 games. Frazier only played 5 games in 1994.

Sure, Frazier was the best of the bunch, but in my opinion he wasn't much better than other option QBs of that era, like Tony Rice, Jamelle Holloway, etc.

Neither of those two are in the college football hof

Option quarterbacks don't get their due these days. Frazier played the position well. Just gets downplayed because everyone is pass happy now

To heck with all of them if they didn't play Big Ten competition weeklySaying Frazier is the best in Big Ten history is like saying Jim Brown was the greatest Super Bowl era NFL running back..

Why are the authors of these Big 10's "greatest" lists or BTN when they did "BT Icons" so desperate for readers/viewers that they have to insult everyone's intelligence by trying to make Nebraska and PSU guys who never played in the league, "big 10" legends?

Mr ESPN author, sorry, but as soon as you mentioned Tommy Frazier and Big 10 in the same story, I stopped reading. Frazier was a great BIG 8 qb!!! No one denies that. Nebraska was a legendary Program in the Big 8, then Big 12. But please stop with the nonsensical lists and stories of players who never played in the BT!!!

Nebraska went 38-0 in 1994, 1995, and 1997. Frazier started less than half of those games. Great player, but lots of quarterbacks could have gone undefeated with that roster, including Berringer and Frost.

You take Brees off either the 1999 or 2000 teams and we would have been .500 at best.
