Battey to Colo

not one to hit the panic button but obviously something is wrong with our presentation, info we're providing these recruits. Colorado for gods sake.....
I think this had more to do with location and his family being able to see him play.

Except for JUCOs, we don't have much luck in football or basketball with CA recruits. I can understand IN being a culture shock to the West Coast. It is frustrating though. I agree.

Yes but lets also discount the ones he has won right? Or does not fit the agenda?
He doesn't have any this year, that's the point. And he only had one last year, so in 2 years we're gonna be in serious trouble, barring a miraculous 2018 class, and assuming we don't get Eastern and Tillman.

So? All is still not lost so jumping off of the ledge is really premature.

If you truly look at this objectively, who's more on the right side of this one? Those who are "panicking" and "jumping off the ledge"? Or those who say we are just fine and there are still plenty of great players out there?

The reality is, if we miss on eastern and Tillman, we likely don't sign even ONE top 100 player.

Last time that happened? 2011. And we all know how that class worked out.

I'm not "panicking" or "jumping", merely stating that this could be the last shot at a deep tourney run for quite a while, if anyone leaves early.

I was down on the ft ball field when he walked by. Needs to loose a lot of weight. Think I read that he was around 275 and looked even heavier. He might be rated high but looked like a project to me. Just my opinion.

Agreed. Not a huge loss. More concerned about the trend that is developing.

Sorry but disagree lenny. Losing a recruit to Colorado isn't "bad" it's just losing a recruit.
All the "We Can't Be Relevant Without Lights at Ross Ade" folks need to realize if we'd push for a few mountains on the north edge after campus, an ocean and beach out by Hort Park and a mini South Beach down around Ft. Ouiatenon we'd likely get a few that we can't offer those amenities to at the present time and it certainly couldn't hurt FB recruiting of both players and prospective coaches.

If we don't get either of these guys then I'm moving over to the "panic" side. Not jumping off a bridge, but not very happy either.

Just saw Sterling Manley was offered by North Carolina today...now we got to out recruit old Roy.

UNC might not look so good right now with all the controversy. Ole Roy doesnt sound so good to guys instate so look for him to sell out of staters like Manley.

If you are not a top 100 player, I don't see why you would go to a place like UNC that consistently recruits in the top 10 range. You will get buried and never see play time. Much better off at a school that has peices in place but has time opening up. Purdue should be an incredibly easy sell as a basketball school. No national championships, but plenty of history and players getting drafted.
