Say goodbye to the draft streak
I think Barron has a shot. He is really athletic and could test really well...and with the NFL looking for more athletic players, he could fit well with a C and G being able to get out and move the pocket. If he tests we’ll (run under 5.15 and hit 25+ reps), he could slide in as a 6th or 7th. Also look for Blough to slide in late because all he has to do is wow someone with his knowledge of the game and someone might take a flyer on him late.

Blough looks more like a udfa signing. Probably better for him to go that route

agree but all it takes is a good showing at the Purdue pro day (remember, when he got a clean pocket he was really magnificent this season) and to wow a single team and they’ll take a flyer.

Possible as well for Knox or Jones as well.

Knox will need to wow with speed and even then his size will worry teams

Jones I doubt.

when the drafted players do nothing in the pros the streak kind of loses its meaning and importance. I'd rather see the streak end then claiming and using guys who were practice squad material helped extend the streak.

Barron will be sub 5.0 in 40yd 48-52 in reps at 225

The record is 49. If Barron does 48-52, he’d get on the radar immediately. Don’t think I’ve heard any rumors about his strength being that off the charts though.
I remember a video of him dunking a basketball, which is impressive, but agree that I’ve never heard of him being freakishly strong.

Agree Baron could still land somewhere. At least get a shot.

Barron seems like our best bet, but Blough has a chance, too.

It would be a shame to see our streak end, but it would also say a lot about what Brohm has been doing with inadequate talent.

Is there any chance that Joe Schopper gets drafted? His QB rating is off the charts....

Blough doesn't have the arm strength to make an NFL team.

If Zicco tests well at pro-day, he might get a shot? If S Landon Feichter was able to spend 2 years on Browns practice squad and was even activated for a couple games in 2015, J Theineman could also be UDFA?

That was the Browns. They aren’t an nfl team. At least they weren’t until they hired Dorsey

There are QB's with less arm strength sitting on NFL benches than David Blough. Ryan Fitzpatrick comes to mind immediately and if Christian Ponder and Mark Sanchez could deceive scouts into getting drafted in 1st round, Blough might find a place too , just not as a starter....

See video of his front squat of 750lbs. I don’t know how to post video but it’s out there like his 46 reps at 225 via twitter

I don’t deny that he’s very strong, I just don’t think he’ll be breaking any combine records like somebody else mentioned.

Well, if the record is 49, and he’s put up 46, seems like it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Especially if he’s training full time for the next 6 weeks or so.

Jordan Roos had the video dunking a basketball
I went back and found the video of Barron. Seeing it again, I’d say calling it a dunk is being a bit generous. Kind of clanks it off the front of the rim and it manages to find its way in. More like a noisy layup.

Hahaha I would agree his basketball skills are suspect but when it comes to strength I believe he has it in him to post 50. Jordan Roos I believe put up 44 that same year on his pro day then Barron put up 46

51 is the combine record. 49 is the official record, however someone in 1998 did 51 reps. I’d be highly surprised if Barron got that many.
don't know if he holds the record , but Eric Howard a DT w/ the Giants out of Wazzou did alot at his workout back in the day.
