Purdue vs Memphis and Wake Forest vs Texas Tech in other matchup:

“Memphis basketball is expected to face Purdue on the first day of the Baha Mar Hoops Championship, according to Boilermakers coach Matt Painter.
The multi team event is set for Nov. 20-21 at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar at Nassau, Bahamas, and the four-team field will also include Wake Forest and Texas Tech, Painter said during an interview with Andy Katz on May 19 on his podcast, "The Sideline with Andy Katz."
Discussing Purdue's 2025-26 non-conference schedule, Painter said: "We’re playing Memphis neutral and, then, either Wake Forest or Texas Tech neutral."

I think Memphis lost some talent, not sure what they added.

Awesome that Texas Tech has been added. Alabama, Auburn, Marquette, Iowa St might all be taking a step down in talent this year. Still good programs, just not top 15. Texas Tech will be top 5.

Depending on who bama signs from portal, they could be top 15. I think Iowa state will be top 15 as well.

Auburn will be A LOT younger and if purified is back, they should be pretty good… at least top 20.

Marquette def takes a step down…not sure they’ll even be top 25 this year.

These tough schedules has seemed to be a great recipe for NCAAT success. As much as I hate to do it, Whizzo has done this for a while and it's worked for him as well.. take your lumps preseason, win enough to get a dcent seed in the NCAAT .. make a run.

We kinda did that last season with a S16 run... Painter has gone and built a special program.. now if only he would run zone he'd be undefeated!

Yep totally agree with this new team we beat Houston and make it to the FF. if replayed. This schedule helps prepare for tournament totally. Go Boilers CMP.

Agree. These are really good programs. I don’t know how good they’ll be at the start of the year but I’d be surprised if a couple of them don’t end up in the top 15 this season.

Tech is a potential top 5 team this year and NC contender. Also have a NPOTY candidate. It’d be a great game.
