It just seems insane to how we are most likely going to have 3 back to back to back B1G players of the year. Might have 3 National Player of the year awards if it wasn't for Cooper Flagg. The talent that Painter sees in young players is just absolutely insane. He does it year after year. Great time to be a Boiler basketball fan. Can't say the same about football (yet).

If you are a good recruit, you have to see that these guys are being MADE into POY, it's not just happening by accident. It's COACHING, it's THE SYSTEM, it's THE PROGRAM.

I agree that it is probably the best place to realize your potential, but I also think that Painter is really great about targeting the right guys who have the potential for greatness. Very few players have the ability to do what Smith is doing. Ultimately, Smith gets the credit and choosing Purdue was one of the great decisions that he made to put himself in this position.

Tbh he didn’t have a lot of offers and Purdue was his only major one and he committed in 48 hours after they offered on Zoom. I’m really thankful Paint offered, but we should also be thankful with the guard who Dr committed and followed Shrews to Penn State, which opened a spot up to be able to offer Braden.

He was a combo guard - Jameel Brown, now at Temple, IIRC.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Didn't Painter offer Carsen Edwards after another player signed somewhere else? Can't remember the name, but I think he went to OSU or FSU.

Fanta spilled his Fresca over this one.......

I knew we were going to win after that shot.

Not because it went in, but because the guys seemed pissed after due to overall poor play and didn't even really celebrate it.

That's a sign of a team that's won some championships and been in some battles. They were already thinking about thr 2nd half.

Painter's done pretty well for a settler.

Bet he even still has cable rather than DirecTV.....

Maybe 4 in a row after next year.
