Biggie doesn't even look like the same guy that won state as a senior in high school. Kudos to him and Josh Bonhotal for transforming his body.
The translation of that into quickness, lateral agility, and vertical leap and repeat leaps is going to be fantastic. START PLAYING NOW!

I realllly hope I am surprised...athleticism is the toughest thing to improve upon, so we'll see!
I've followed Josh Bonhotal's social media the last few years and he's talked frequently about doing just that. Here is an interview he did where he details some of the stuff he does:

And an article from a couple of years ago:

And if you have a ton of time available, here is a great podcast:

Pretty sure Isaac mentioned that he hated guarding Caleb in practice this year. I think that says a lot given his size advantage.

100%. Caleb at the 5 is a monster.
I agree, but I think that Haas will be a match-up nightmare in his own right this season. They present different problems, which is great for Purdue.

I also expect Swanigan to play better at the 4 this season than he did last season. If he can just clean up the mental errors he'll be much more effective. The four may not be his best position, but I think that Haas and Swanigan are too good to not share the floor for substantial minutes this year. I like that Painter will be able to go with both big and small line-ups this season.

Yeah, I definitely think Biggie will be improved at the 4; his work ethic is too good not to.

That being said, I hope that Painter uses lineups where Biggie and Haas aren't playing together. Getting Biggie on the floor at the 5 with Haas out, and vice versa, I think would pay dividends for each of them as individuals and for the team.

I don't think you need to worry about that because I don't think that Haas will be able to play more than about 25 minutes a game and Biggie will probably be somewhere around 30. If Painter always has one or the other in the game, that puts them in the game together for about 15 minutes per game.

I'm looking forward to playing IU. Bryant is getting all kinds of love and I would love to see him shut down. That said, he really didn't wow me last year. He was IU's only real big man and only averaged almost 12 and 6. Good numbers for a freshman, sure, but nothing stellar. Caleb led the B1G in rebounding and was a 10 and 8+ guy... and he had to fight AJ and Isaac for boards and points.

I'm curious but since Purdue plays IU twice this season, how does everyone see him faring against Bryant? Everyone considers Bryant a first team all BIg.

That's interesting...there's no underestimating Bryant's length and ability as a rim protector, but I actually like Biggie's chances if we see frequent one on one matchups between the two in the post.

Sure Biggie isn't the most explosive athlete, but his ability to bully people down low, I hope, will wear Bryant down. Not sure how much they find themselves matched up on one another though (I guess depends on how much of the 5 Biggie sees).
