Reading half of a post, ignoring the rest, and then shitting on people, rather than having proper discourse *is* trolling though.

To be fair, I've only see TC4THREE act like that when it is done to him in some fashion to begin with.

Sounds like he described you perfectly. An angry purdue fan who doesn't care about the success of the athletic teams.
There's a little bit of truth in the latter part of that statement. I care about the success of Purdue teams, I just don't make it the centerpiece of my existence like some of you. It's entertainment. I enjoy watching and discussing it. It doesn't make me angry like it does you though. I don't come here and angrily belittle our coach when a kid chooses to go elsewhere even when we have a team that could do big things readying to take the court this upcoming season.
Don't make it the center piece of my life either. At best i would call it a hobby.
cgnops, you are probably a good boilermaker fan, but you got to admit that almost every post you have made is one of anger and ridicule of the current coaching staff. 44 posts, and you call out TC who has 24,000? Um..., my impression is that TC has simply had enough of ignorant angry posters who want quick fixes, without understanding the core issues. Are you one of those? Maybe?
I do think we fans need to take a minute before jumping on each other (advice I need to follow also). On the other hand, we do have some folks on the board that are definitely trolls, like the asshat that suggested we should have Tom Crean as coach (Mogul was his handle). Those guys get zero tolerance in my book.
Who cares how many posts some has? Doesn't make him more of a fan than anyone else. Mathboy, I am confused, can you please point to A SINGLE post where I express anger or ridicule of the current staff? I love Painter and his crew and have always supported him publicly, privately, and here.
I can conceive of how you guys might read half of my second post in this thread, and been confused, but that is unfair to read half of a post and then get carried away ranting back at the poster. Read the whole post, wtf? Its pretty easy to pick and choose select words to read out of context.
For the third time, I have a personal connection to Bruce Pearl that has allowed me to see that the man is more than his job. History shows Pearl is a cheater. I do not want him at our school. But I believe that Pearl has a good heart and is a man of personal character, although professionally lacking.
I have not asked once for a coaching change, I may once, have said I would prefer to have Brad Stevens, but that was very much a tongue in cheek comment (actually in a thread complaining about our staff, where I chimed in on the voice of reason side and supported Painter and company).
I will gladly eat all my words and concede the argument if you can actually show me a single post about our coaching staff that really is "one of anger and ridicule".
Honestly, as you have pointed out, I have only 40 something posts here. If you took the time to look at those 40 something posts, you would see that TC has ridiculed me unfairly, and that it is also unfair of you to make these claims against me. Please do read my posts and you will see that I have been characterized incorrectly on the basis of THIS THREAD ALONE, because as I said above, I have a PERSONAL respect for Bruce Pearl that exists outside the realm of coaching basketball.
I mean seriously though, my FIRST post in this thread I said "...Would I want Pearl at Purdue? I honestly would not...".
TC then responds to my post with "...I think it's entirely possible to cheat and be a good guy. That's not to say I want that at Purdue though...."
I mean come on, you have to read the whole post BEFORE responding, this is just getting silly to get SHIT ALL OVER somone because I said Pearl was a good guy, EVEN THOUGH I SAID I DONT WANT HIM HERE.
I love Purdue, and to be told by someone who has been on these boards for 10 years that I shouldnt be a fan, even though that poster and I actually probably agree 100% about whats being discussed, if only we could actually READ A WHOLE POST. Thats whats really rotten about this place. If you want to ridicule me or my opinions, fine. Just make sure that you actually read my post and know what my opinions are

I ignored him a long time ago, assuming that's Tommy Coverdale. Do yourself a favor, ignore him and save yourself a headache

The only real reason to ignore anyone on here is if you are afraid of differing positions and can't defend the position you've taken. Someone putting me on ignore is an honor because it means they absolutely can't refute what I have to say. Thank you.
