Assuming Purdue takes 25

a lot of other power 5 teams would disagree and say TE Luke Ford is the guy for us.
Ford looks like a traditional Te. Looks like someone Iowa would recruit

I think brohm wants more of an athletic pass catcher.

People around here want him to sign quickly before he injures himself. He plays for a small school and at 6'6 is also the starting basketball center and he injured himself last year. One of the reasons he originally committed to Arkansas was they promised him they would honor his scholarship even if he was injured in high school. He's rather slow, and would make a good blocking TE. He's the first athlete at our local school in over a decade, maybe two to receive a division 1 football scholarship offer.

I see Parker as being similar to psu's Giesicki.

Local kid here in town who has made a good name for himself as a RB is getting looks as an OLB. Dawson Dahnke is just a few yards away from the schools all time yardage record but a number of schools are recruiting him as an OLB without him ever playing a snap of defense. He is about 6'2 and 225 and runs in the 4.6 range. If he has a standout year at OLB, he could end up being a filler scholarship or a preferred walk-on.

Thought I would give a name to another local standout beyond the DE from West Side.

Per twitter Purdue has offered Tavon Kyle a 6'2" wide out and Kenneth Dicks another DB.

I understand the offer to the WR but the one to the DB must mean they aren't happy with their depth in the defensive backfield right now

I couldn't find a Tavon Kyle listed in any football recruiting database for 2018 , 2017 or 2019. Although at 6'2, he seems to fit the mold of what Brohm is looking for. ..

I saw the Kenneth Dicks tweet. He's a very good 3* db with a lot of good offers. It was very odd. His tweet about receiving our offer was made 5 August. he committed to Wake Forest on 29 July. We're a little late to his party. Although Brohm has a rep for flipping committed players.

My bad Tayvonn Kyle

That offer still seems odd coming this late. Admittedly it's in an area Brohm likes to recruit. I just thought with all the WRs Brohm recruited last year and the addition of Holmes, we had plenty of Wrs. But upon closer review, we only have two Wrs committed in the 2018 class, and McCoy has the potential to be a return man, so I guess adding another WR would be a good measure.

Whether we sign either player, I like the fact we are going after players that some other power 5 schools are going after including West Virginia, Louisville, Mississippi, Wake forest Iu and several others.

And 19 committed. How would this finish be:

RB Andrew Cunningham
WR Terry Traynor
DE Madison Norris
DT Branson Deen
LB Justin Dingle
LB Antwaun Johnson

I know it's a long shot all 19 currently committed, stay committed, and new targets will emerge, but there are some other nice candidates out there too

RB Marcus Caldwell
RB/LB Kyle Wright
WR Meechi Harris
WR Travon King
LB Mason Parris
LBDequan Jackson

All of the above have "warm" rating on 24/7 sports Purdue offer list with the exception of Parris
Didn't Deen already commit?

I would like to see a kid like Zach McDowell get an offer. The kid is a work horse! Any Snider coach will tell you he makes Lawrence Johnson look really good at times. I just think the interior line with the 2 of the them would be very hard to run against.
