Personally, of the dozens of BBQ joints in KC, my current favorite is Joe's (nee' "Oklahoma Joe's) followed by Jack Stack's. NYT journalist, humorist and food writerfood, Calvin Trillin, a native of KC, called Arthur Bryant's the "greatest restaurant in the world." Thus a local legend became a national legend. Personally, AB's sauce is too peppery for me, but I'll never complain. Living here in Northern Michigan, we had Jack Stack's delivered for a Super Bowl party the year they won.
As one who grew up in KC and is a Chiefs (& Royals) fan since 1966, I woke up to a pleasant surprise this morning.....
