He was just asking about him because he was a highly ranked recruit we almost got. It doesn’t mean he thinks he’s better than our qbs or anything. Just conversation about something relevant

Yes we were.

We were close on six commits that class including Alaimo. Purdy and McQuarrie are in the portal. Van Dyke and Prater are the other two. With the portal not requiring a year to sit out it is very difficult to keep guys when they aren’t starting.

Is Hornsby in the portal? I didn’t see that. I think OP started this thread because the name sounded familiar and he made some big plays yesterday for Arky.

It is worth noting the two guys who essentially did not play in 2021 from this class (other than Alaimo) are in the portal and the 3 who did stayed? It is remarkable brohm is able to get guys like Alaimo and Burton to stay knowing they likely will not be in top 2 next year.

Portal SZN ain’t over yet (and won’t be until the end of the spring semester).

He's a great dual threat QB. He got Arkysaw out of difficult situations on several occasions by tucking and running. That made the difference in the game.
