It seems a lot of people are not worried anymore, because there used to be a lot of discussions on recruits that signed or got away on signing day. That has stopped the last few years.
I agree. I was surprised to come here to post that thought and was blown away that I was the first to mention ANYTHING recruit wise...even welcoming guys as the letter came in and announcements were made online. In general, an online message board usually contains the most adamant and ardent supporters of a sports team. If we are this down right now, maybe things truly are as worse as many claim they are.
I think it's even worser than that
It's the worsest.
In case anyone was worried, Landers did sign his LOI.
Hard to get excited about the #73 class in the nation.I agree. the first thing I noticed is the amount of commits, didn't realize we'd take this many. Maybe a guy like Anthrop will be a preferred walk-on now. It is what I'd expect, alot of 2 star guys due to our record of late and the asst. coaching turnover. Saw we landed a RB from Fla. late, reminds me of Hunt. Minny lost a 4 star RB to CFU.Take a look again. Currently the #53 class. Now, the team behind us is TCU with a whopping 10 commits which skews the numbers so let's wait about a week and the list to be finalized...but its about where we thought it would be. Imagine if the few guys hadn't jumped ship...the class could have hovered around that 50 area after all the dust settled.
I will say, the B1G is about to get real interesting if Harbaugh can keep pulling in classes like he is. I see what happened to the SEC happening to the B1G in terms of recruits and programs potentially because of the Big Two seemingly coming back after UM has been down over the last 5-10 years.
Not sure what you are looking at: Rivals has us at 73. Wait, we just dropped to 74.Take a look again. Currently the #53 class. I was watching a video last night of Hazell describing what the team did wrong the previous week after the Northwestern game, not one thing he said made any link of sense. We should have guessed from his opening speech that he would become a lame duck instantly. The face of Haze three years later.............Lost, confused and in over his head.
Not surprising. I saw another press conference quote of someone just starting to play football. How many years have we done this now? I realized that we have had people like Nick Hardwick (realize he was a walk on, but he only played freshman football) work out from time to time, but normally this doesn't work out. The better programs don't do this. Also, saw someone mention about the numbers signed. I had that question too. We have more people transferring that we have not heard of yet?Dead last in the BIG.............thats all that matters..............

Did I miss the news about Purdue joining the WAC? Seems like that's who we were competing against for most of these players.Dead last in the BIG.............thats all that matters..............
Campbell- Michigan State
Powell- Stanford
Johnson- Michigan
Miller- Nebraska
I'd dislike our class a little less if we had somehow held on to these guys (hell I'm probably missing someone)
Purdue is just being used as a positioning school by recruits, some of the higher ranked ones commit early to us and then as their stock goes up or openings occur at more storied programs they de-commit. I see this happen at Rutgers alot too. Can't blame any of them. Being a homer, I would still rather play football at any of those 3 schools (especially the top 2) over Purdue.
