She was a Burger girl, 5-star recruit from C-U Ill - right under the nose of UI. I wonder if she wants to go back home and play for Illinoi? I think this is a big loss for OSU.
She was never interested in Illinois and Purdue was one of her early offers. That said an intra conference transfer is both difficult and rare.
I should look this up before posting, but... no, I will just stick my neck out there... Didn't UI change coaches recently? That might cause her to look again. On the other hand, I hope you are right about potential interest in Purdue.
The one that really hurt was Mavunga. I thought we finished as #2 to UNC. She changes schools and goes directly to OSU. That one surprised me. She is a hell-of-a player.
They did and their new coach is a 58 year old Hall of Famer with more than 700 Division III wins to her credit.
Purdue might look real good in B1G next year ...all the competition transferring.
McCoy and Lewis to transfer from OSU and heard
Slocum, Staiti and Myers out of Maryland too.
I think she struggled to make an impact here. A red shirt season is always tough to come back from. I wish her well.
MCCoy has ruled Illinois out. Purdue not mentioned in possibilities, just all the big time programs including MD but not UConn. Says she did not want to be in home town but might like to be closer and mentioned Marquette. I hope Coach V tells her that WLaff is fairly close.

It should come as no surprise that this rash of high profile transfers from Big Ten schools is being perceived as a negative reaction to the lowly state of Wbb in the conference. It is a tough argument to refute.
Yep, BINGO. This rule that an intra-conference transfer cannot accept a scholie is waaaay outdated. It only hurts ourselves.
It's like inviting schools in the SEC and ACC to take our kids who don't like the school that they're in. Do those conferences have the same stupid rule?
Most conferences make it difficult to transfer intra conference. Remember we used to get the Maryland transfers? Not anymore.
