Taver Johnson jumping ship to take a similar job at Texas, per GBI. Not surprised but at least it came after national signing day as most of the recruits who need to make an impact next season were DB's.

I think the writing is definitely on the wall now and I now wonder if any more coaches may jump ship as well, given the chance. Barring Hazel doing the unthinkable and getting to 7 wins next season, I doubt his job is safe now that a new AD will more than likely be installed in a capacity sometime later this year.

Don't really care. We will suck with or without Taver, and he would have been gone in 9 months anyway.

Rats are leaving sinking ship. What a trainwreck.

Taver was supposed to be a good recruiter. I think he was better than the rest here...but this isn't a huge loss.

He would have likely been looking for a new job after this year at Purdue.....well he'll just as likely be looking for a new gig next year after UT fires strong.

it's tough losing a Johnson, wonder if any of the DB recruits will leave.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire by going to Texas...if Strong has another poor season he will be gone too!

Who will be his replacement? Will the staff be redesigned? What players have left? Let us be positive, we might win a few ball games.

Sounds like the new AD is a disciple of Burke and will follow in his footsteps because he did such an awesome job keeping the program profitable while maintaining spuratoc years of competitiveness. This new AD will give DH an extension and then let him go after 2 years of losing which will be 5 years for our fans and then it will take 3-5 years at best to recover "if" we find the right guy! Loving our sports direction and future! We need to make a splash with someone who can deliver and believes that Purdue can recruit top level players!
